Socializing rescued dogs that were so sick is not an easy task.
Rita, my Irish terrier mix just gave us a not-so-wonderful night last night as we entertained, endless barking and nipping at the guests and when she was finally "taken up to her room for a time out", the crying and yelling in sure made the night for the next door neighbors.
She has been going out for walks for about the weeks now, I'm not Cesar Millan that's for sure, but she has made -some- progress... Trouble is to find house guests that are willing to become experiments and withstand the barking.
I believe that the biggest issue is her nearsightedness... And the fact that she was abused and abandoned... In sure she'll come around but I do not know how long it will take... :). After all, terriers are the dogs works badgers...
